At the first moment, when I came across it while flipping through the books, this drawing seemed completely boring to me, an ordinary interior, but the point was that you need to recognize what to look at first... The key thing in this picture is the extinguished candle as a symbol of extinguished life, that is, death. After that follow a sequence: a flower drawn on a book page, a vase on a window, and a view of the sky above the landscape... So someone died and went to heaven, as is commonly believed... However, what remains? They remain a room full of books, but empty, without a human presence. Open books and scattered papers remain, but also a feeling of emptiness in those of us who look at it...
