How to create a wobbly checker board: Load a nice svg of a floor checkered pattern in perspective into Gimp. Try to un-perspective part of the pattern using the Gimp perspective tool just to get some measurements of what it would be like if straight. Notice that when using the tool, it shows everything as wobbly (but dont save it yet, because itll be un-wobbly). Look at wobbly-ness and start thinking about a hand-drawn cartoon checker board. Take a screen shot. Trace said screen shot with Inkscape. Smile. Publish.
